There are numerous sub genres for thrillers with I the film industry, these are some example:

What are the conventions of an opening title?

What is the purpose of titles in a film opening?
  • Used in TV and film they acknowledge the work of the
    Institution, cast and crew
  • Foreshadow a characters personality
  • Shows who’s involved in the production team
  • Introduces the film and the actor
  • Sets the scene of the opening sequence
  • Sets the theme and the tone of the plot.
Opening titles are shown at the very beginning and list the most important members of the production. They usually shown as text super imposed on a blank screen or static pictures or sometimes on top of the action in the show.

Script

Ollie: (Walking down the corridor, opens door, continues walking towards door and walks in pulls chair and sits down)

Precious: Thank you for meeting me.

Ollie: (Pulls chair closer to the desk) Thanks for inviting me.

Precious: (Rolls eyes and shrugs shoulders)

Ollie: So what have you got to say for yourself?

Precious: Well we all know who started it.

Ollie: I thought we were over this.

Precious: Well clearly we haven’t come to an agreement then, (Stands up and slams hands on the desk) HAVE WE!

Ollie: (stands up and slams hands on the desk as well, throws his chair on the floor and walks off towards the door) 

Ollie: (Stands at door turns around) (mocking Precious) Well clearly we clearly can’t get to an agreement then! (walks out and slams door shut)
