How can you find opinions from an audience?

What are the conventions of a Vox Pops?

Latin- voice of the people. Vox pops is used to learn opinions, we will be using it to understand what our audience knows and thinks about thrillers.

What makes up a Vox Pop?

  • Superimpose the question at the beginning do not ask the question.
  • Each person who answers superimpose their name, age and occupation at the bottom.
  • Set in a busy area
  • Medium close up of each respondent
  • Respondent holds and indirect gaze
  • Respondent tends to be on the right hand side looking left off screen
  • Each person is on screen for a max. of 3 seconds
